The Printmaker's Art
Rembrandt to Rego

National Galleries for the Royal Scottish Academy

Everyone has the power to make a print.

As part of the Printmaker’s Art exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy we were commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland to continue their series of printmaker films, featuring printmakers across Scotland. The resulting three films would form part of the exhibition to help visitors gain an understanding of the printmaking technique while viewing work dating back over the last five hundred years.

The exhibition went from Albrecht Dürer in the fifteenth century right through to contemporary artists like Tracey Emin and Chris Ofili. Big names on show included Hokusai, Andy Warhol, Goya, Rembrandt, William Blake, Elizabeth Blackadder, Paula Rego, Bridget Riley and Pablo Picasso.

I thought the films were a brilliant addition to the show and really helped understand the process in each room. Well done!
